Loved this book. This is just a short review including the pieces of information that I care about when I read a book. Hotness: very hot. Very, very hot. Steamy hot. There was a level of detail that stopped just short of making me feel like I was uncomfortably looking in on Victoria and Nick. Since it stopped just shy of that, I enjoyed reading every word and smiled while doing so. And got jealous. :) Chemistry: adorable. Victoria’s and Nick’s opinions of one another evolved over the course of the book, and it was charming to witness. Let’s just say that’s Nick had more evolving to do but he did so graciously and in a caring way, all while being the alpha-guy we knew he was. They didn’t fall instantly in love and watching their feelings for each other morph was truly a pleasure. They each have a back-story that makes them even more endearing because life hasn’t been easy for either of them. Language: let’s just say that they each have a fondness for one particular four-letter word. They used is as a noun, verb, adjective, adverb…any way they wanted to and very, very often throughout the book. If I had to guess (I know I could count in my kindle but I didn’t) I’d say it was user over 75-times, but I’m no prude so bring it on. I feel compelled to say that I didn’t love Victoria’s occupation and that almost prevented me from purchasing the book. I’m glad I took a chance though. I “get” that she was doing exactly the same thing as Nick, and to be clear, my hesitation was not because she was female; rather it was because she was working for a non-government agency that at times seemed questionable in its ethics. So when you put together this very strong and capable heroine with a very skilled military hero, you get a great book. Props also for the camaraderie between the guys in Nick’s unit, and the bond between Victoria and her sister Emily. I’ll be reading more of Ms. Harris…and soon.Product details

Amazing how the H.O.T. series just gets better with each book! I absolutely loved this story of Nick and Victoria, it was full of military type action, suspense, and HOT romance. It is intense, and pulled me right from the first page, and kept the interest through the rest of the story.
Nick and Victoria's ribbing each other is fun and electric. Them two together are steamy hot, but at the same time, they have a sweet friendship, innocence and protective tenderness between them, that is just adorable, made me sigh so many times. It is heart wrenching, delicate, and delightful.
The action is exiting. The tension and fear is palpable, and I found the sniper's routines before the shot interesting. Nick and Victoria's mission in the desert was ardent, and the trust, the brotherhood between the H.O.T. members is touching.
Fierce action, intense suspense, and just adorable, love story all in one book ~ Five spoons with high recommendations!
I have had the pleasure and fun of reading all the Hostile Operations Team Novels. They were riveting and I had to finish each one before I could even think of moving to another book. Having served in the military for over 20 years and knowing many special forces men I can honestly say they were in many ways like these men...BUT not to confuse the real life with the fiction I am only attesting to their devotion to country, their belief in family and loyalty to each. So, for me, these books held a place in my thoughts of the romantic side of these men who really serve as well as those men in this fictional environment. I loved the military and was honored to serve !k!so you can imagine I love to read books about the military from a romantic side. If you can give a huge sigh and a silent clap for a story well done...it is here! I loved these guys (and their women who were there too). Read the ENTIRE series - you will fall in love and find yourself rooting for the team to come out the other side whole and ready for everything...
They're both snipers, they've both lost people they've loved. But Nick & Victoria are constantly bickering, have been since Army sniper school, where they were each other's main competition. But now they're back in each other's lives. Vic is tough, courageous and skilled as a sniper. Nick is serious, independent and just became HOT's sniper. Can they survive a dangerous roller coaster of a mission together? Can they work together well enough to save Vic's sister, bring down a terrorist and realize what real love is? It's a heck of a rollicking good ride finding out!
Nick "Brandy" met Victoria three years earlier in Army sniper school, but she disappeared without finishing or explanation. He is on a mission in Qu'rim when their paths cross again, as snipers for different agencies with opposing targets. They both want American educated opposition leader, Zaran bin Yusuf, but for different reasons. Then Nick and his team save Vic from being killed by Zaran's men and Nick' s boss offers her a deal. One that will clear her record with the military. She has to convince her boss, Ian Black, a disavowed CIA agent, to hire Nick so Nick can gather information about who is feeding Ian inside information. In return HOT will also find her sister, who is married to Zaran. In a world where allegiances change quickly, Vic and Nick will be doing well to just stay alive.
This book is another great addition to the HOT Series. The next book is due out at the end of the year and promises to be another hot story. Can't wait!
