Though the idea of unpredictable evolutionary change is fundamental to the philosophy of Darwinian naturalism, Dougherty uncovers a common tendency among the proponents of naturalism to smuggle in a hand-picked group of timeless absolutes from the outset of inquiry. From the start, evolution is made curiously immune to itself. The recognition of the fact that the mechanisms governing the evolutionary process must themselves be subject to evolution and change is the dawn of a new era in the philosophy of naturalism.

Evolution Evolves A Presuppositional Argument Against Naturalism T Dougherty 9780990800804 Books Reviews
Dougherty identifies himself as a Christian early on and the work as a Christian apologetic. Where he stands on evolution is not entirely clear, though he clearly opposes atheism. The work is quite comical, if not somewhat odd as the author seems just as willing to quote Tyler Durden and Jeffrey Lebowski as he is David Hume, Richard Dawkins, Daniel Dennett, etc.
He argues that an atheist has no grounds for assuming that evolution as we know it is anything like evolution as it was in the distant past, given that an unguided evolution must itself be subject to evolution and unpredictable change (hence the title of the book). If evolution is subject to evolution, in other words, skepticism is the result.
This book is published by some third rate publishing company, was poorly made, and pages started falling out of it immediately (though I bought it new).
But the content of the book was even worse; faulty science-bashing religious arguments supported with hateful science-bashing quotes. Here's one "Naturalism [that is, science] is a sort of task-master that, in order to gain assent in us, must first convince us that we are individually worthless."
The bible is also frequently quoted. This book is not a educated argument but standard religious dogma. Don't bother purchasing it.
It is well put together with easy to read information. A good read for those interested learning more about human existence.
